Privacy, accessibility and terms.

Plainly written, because a person giving to a charity deserves to know exactly what happens to their details and to their money.

Your details

What is collected

Only what you type into a form: your name, your email address, a phone number if you choose to give one, and whatever you write in the message. Nothing else. There is no tracking, no advertising pixel, and no analytics that identifies you.

Why

To reply to you, to send you the updates you asked for, and where you asked for a name to be davened for, to do that. Nothing is collected for any other purpose.

Who sees it

Rav Weinreb, and the person who maintains this website on his behalf. Your details are never sold, never rented, and never passed to anyone else.

How long

For as long as you want to hear from Ohel Gershon. Ask and it is deleted, in full, without discussion.

Messages

You will only receive email or messages if you ticked the box asking for them. Every email carries a way to stop, and stopping is immediate. If you gave a phone number and would rather not be contacted on it, say so and it will not be used.

Your rights

You may ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be erased. Write to [email protected] and it will be done.

Donations

The two ways of giving are separate

Gifts to the learning program that are tax deductible in the United States are received on Ohel Gershon's behalf by Congregation Gur Aryeh Institute, Tax ID 52-2338851, and must carry the reference Weinreb Collection. Ohel Gershon does not yet hold its own charitable registration, and says so openly.

Dedications of learning and prayer arranged directly with Rav Weinreb are personal arrangements and are not tax deductible. They are never mixed with the above.

Card details

No payment is ever taken on this website. Donations are handled entirely on the yeshiva's own secure payment page. No card number ever touches this site.

What the pictures show

Every image of the campus on this website is an illustration of what Ohel Gershon intends to build. None of it exists yet, and the site says so throughout. No photograph on this site shows a participant, and no image of any person has been generated artificially to suggest otherwise.

Accessibility

This site is built to be usable with a keyboard alone, to work with a screen reader, to respect a request for reduced motion, and to keep text readable at large sizes. The scrolling film has still images and full text behind it, so nothing is lost if video does not play or motion is switched off.

If any part of this site is difficult for you to use, please say so and it will be fixed. That is not a formality.

Terms

The material on this site is offered in good faith. Torah texts open on Sefaria, which is an independent free library, and nothing on this site is generated by a machine. Customs and dates differ between communities, and where it matters you should ask your own rav.

Prayer is offered sincerely and nothing is promised beyond that Rav Weinreb will go and will daven, and that you will be told when he has.
